| The Beechworth Chinese Cultural Centre is an integral part of the Historic and Cultural Precinct situated in Ford Street, Beechworth, Victoria, Australia.
Mission Statement
The Chinese Cultural Centre undertakes to collect, preserve and display the history of the Chinese people of the goldfields in Ovens and districts (1852-1930), for educational and research purposes.
Acquisition Policy
- Artifacts must be of genuine Chinese origin (not replicas)
- They must reflect the lives of the Chinese in Australia between 1852-1930
- Articles that are accepted "on loan" will be for short term and subject to the guidlines laid down by Museum Australia.
- All donations, gifts and presentations are the property of the "Beechworth Chinese Cultural Centre".
The centre has been developed by a small band of dedicated volunteers with a grant obtained from Arts Victoria's "Creating Place and Space" program.

With a small permanent exhibition relating to the local Chinese identities, their history and the legacy left by the Chinese, the Government appointed Chinese Protectors, and their role, for the period 1857-1865 in the original Chinese Protectors Building.
The centre will also mount temporary exhibitions on Beechworth and the Ovens Goldfield District.
The Beechworth Chinese Cultural Centre has research facilities available.
